ABOUT ME

My interest in the aesthetic world has been a part of me since childhood. Coloring, drawing, cut out paper forms, clay, fabric, model making, and even cookie decorating held my fascination.

As an undergraduate student, I majored in design and architecture. The built world was a natural fit for my aesthetic sensibilities. I worked in the business end of the design and architecture industry while continuing to make art—watercolor and acrylic paintings, painted furniture, multi-media wall hangings, and more.

During my corporate design career, I became a student of women's issues. Few women held leadership positions in the corporate arena. The dearth of females in C-suites inspired me to return to school for a graduate degree in systems thinking with a specific focus on women and work life integration. There are feminist themes in my art and writing. Despite its whimsical nature, my art speaks to deeper themes in our busy lives including nature, love, family, and peace. My writing to date is all about women's issues. I try to offer various points of view rather than judgment of my characters' choices.

Let me know your thoughts. I am informed by real life situations and experiences. Not just my own. Enjoy!
